Homework 13 solutions for honors classes:
Problems 1-4
Note: on #3 the number of texts for plan B, I said that there are $23 left after spending $12 on talking. This is wrong. There should only be $13 dollars left. So when you calculate you'll get 260 texts. (Thanks brett for pointing out the error)
Problems 5-6 (only the first half of #6)
Problems 6-8

Homework 13
For regular classes, homework 13 is the following:
Graph both equations and identify the point where they intersect (you may have to solve for y first).
1) 2y - 4x = 6
y = 3x + 2
2) x + 2y = 8
y = x + 2
For honors classes, you got homework 13 in class - the yellow sheet labeled "Talk or Text." I will see if I can get it uploaded. I don't have a digital copy right now...

HW 7 videos (finally...)
I'm sorry I didn't get these up sooner. Problems 5 and 6 were made for Honors classes, but anyone can attempt them.
Problems 1 and 2
Problems 3 and 4. Note: I made a mistake in the video on number 4. When I converted 6 and 4/5 into an improper fraction, I forgot to put it over the same denominator which is 5. So the last calculation should be 34/5 times 5/2. This equals 17. The answer to #4 should be X is greater than or equal to 17.

Name:_______________________ Period: ___
Solve the following equations. List your justification for
each step.
1) 3 – 2(X – 3) = 13 – 2X
2) 2X – 5 = 59
3) 4 + (7X – 6) = - (1/2)(2X – 5)

Homework 1
Here is homework number 1! Only 3 questions... but I made them hard on purpose:
Name:_______________________ Period: ___
Solve the following equations:
1) 2X + 3 = 2 + 17X
2) 3X + 5 = 14
3) 3 - (2X + 3) = 8X + 30

Welcome to Mr. Matt's Math Class Website!
I know it seems weird that I'd have this up and running AFTER the school year has started, but you know what? Deal with it. You don't always have everything ready when you start school either!... Unless you're one of those people who do... then you're better than me and I'm okay with that.
Anyway... this site is meant to help you stay on top of what's going on in math class. I'll post news, notes, homework assignments, and video explanations. You can use them to your heart's content. Merry Christmas :)
